What is the Difference Between 18-8 and 316 Stainless Steel Marine Fasteners?
Type 316 Stainless Contains Slightly More Nickel than 18-8 - 304 stainless and 2-3% Molybdenum Giving it Better Resistance to Corrosion Than 304. It is Excellent for Use Where Exposed to Chemicals and the Corrosive Effects. Both are of a high-quality. However, 316 Stainless Steel Marine Fasteners are Generally More Resistant to Corrosion Than Their 18-8 Counterparts.
