These Fasteners are Made From 18-8 / 304 Stainless Steel Having Approximately (Not Exactly) 18% Chromium and 8% Nickle. The Term "18-8" is Used Interchangeably to Describe Fasteners Made From 302, 303, 304 & 305 Stainless Steel.

There is Little Overall Difference in Corrosion Resistance Among the 18-8 Stainless Steel Types, but Slight Differences in the Chemical Composition do Make Certain Grades More Resistance Againt Particular Chemicals or Atmospheres.

18-8 Stainless Steel has Superior Corrosioin Resistance and is Generally Non-Magnetic and is Hardenable by Cold working. Cold Working of the Part Can Induce Magnetic Properties Due to Working, But Has No Effect on the Corrosion Resistance of the Fasteners.
